Group health insurance doesn't work for every company. Steep renewal rates can create significant financial risk. Luckily, there's an alternative. ICHRA (now called CHOICE Arrangement) offers modern, personalized benefits that are tailored to your business and your employees.
Switching from group health insurance means switching from the status quo. When you choose Take Command as your CHOICE Arrangement administrator, you get health insurance experts to guide you through the transition. We understand the process from start to launch and support you with everything from technical details to change management.
A better employer-based coverage solution begins here
Transitioning to a new employee benefits model requires a mission-driven focus and determination. We're committed to helping you.
Design your custom ICHRA and set your budget
CHOICE Arrangement (ICHRA) offers lots of flexibility. To leverage that flexibility, you need a plan design that is designed specifically for your company. Our expert team will guide you through the process to make sure you’re making the most of your health benefits and your budget.
If you have 50 or more FTEs,, you’re required to meet ACA affordability standards. That means, to avoid government penalties, you must offer employee allowances that meet a certain threshold.
You can create employee classes based on established criteria (e.g., location, full-time/part-time, etc), which allows you to set specific benefit amounts for different groups.
You should expect to hear from us within 2-5 business days. Once we receive the information needed and talk with you to understand the situation and goals, our design team will work with you to finalize a design (this typically takes a few more days).
We recommend communicating early and often, so your employees can get the most out of their HRA.
Here’s what you are required to communicate:
Here’s what we recommend communicating in addition to the above:
The easiest way for employees to shop for health insurance is through our platform. They will be able to see all of their options and pricing based on their age, family size, etc. If they get stuck, they can set up a call with our enrollment team (English/Spanish) and someone can walk them through the process.
That’s what our team is here for. They can set up a call, chat with our team at the bottom right hand corner of our website, or email support@takecommandhealth.com.
Count on Take Command
Our team will immediately get to work supporting you with ICHRA reimbursements, compliance, reporting, and answering all of your employees' questions.
We recommend pushing through tax-free reimbursements on payroll (like you would reimburse for travel expenses). We’ve also seen some business owners write checks, pay cash, or use PayPal, etc. It’s up to the employer.
We track reimbursements for you. When you’re ready to reimburse your employees, you’ll use our portal to see exactly how much each person is owed in a given time frame.
