If you’re a large employer (ALE), you can also upload a census and we will run a free affordability analysis for you to ensure that you remain compliant. (These can change year to year, by the way.)
An ICHRA plan can be set up in minutes and can go into effect on the date you choose. If employees already have individual health insurance, this can be immediate. If they will need to shop for a new plan, those new plans will go into effect on the first of the following month.
ICHRAs can replace a traditional group plan or be used in addition, where one class of employees stays on a group plan and another class could have an ICHRA. A class cannot be offered both. Learn more about ICHRAs in our ICHRA Guide.

Any employee enrolled in ACA-compliant individual health insurance or Medicare is eligible for ICHRA if they work full-time, part-time, seasonally, or were offered ICHRA as a new hire.
Yes, you can reimburse Medicare premiums for employees over the age of 65 or with certain disabilities as long as they have qualifying Medicare coverage. However, they would need to keep track of their premiums to submit for health plan reimbursement, which we’re happy to assist with.
