It's the third year in a row for above 5% increases for group health insurance, with this year coming in at an unprecedented 9%. Individual market insurers have requested the largest increases in five years. In other words, it's shaping up to be an expensive year for healthcare for everyone. Renewal hikes in 2025 are breaking records — with some employers seeing increases they simply can't absorb.
KFF's Cynthia Cox, vice president and Director of the Program on the ACA, and Gary Claxton, Senior Vice President, the Director of the Program on the Health Care Marketplace at the health policy research group will be sharing their take on what to expect out of this hallmark year and the factors contributing to the hikes. Take Command's CEO, Jack Hooper, will be sharing strategies to navigate the unique market and Kacy Hagan, the VP of HR at Lycoming College, will share how she used Individual Coverage HRAs—and leveraged the individual market—to save $1.2M for her college, along with more money back on her employees' paychecks.
