Due to the carrier's system processes, individuals who enrolled in Anthem plans during their enrollment period may receive an automated email from Anthem requesting their qualifying life event documentation. They can disregard this request. Take Command provides the necessary information when submitting applications.
Note, if an individual enrolls in an Anthem plan at another point during the year after experiencing a qualifying life event aside from an offer of an HRA (such as birth, marriage, move to a new zip/county, etc.), Take Command will require documentation from the individual.
May news update:
Anthem had a recent system issue, which resulted in the carrier undercharging members for certain generic medications. The issue has been resolved, and the carrier will send communications to impacted individuals. There are no actions that members need to take, and members will not be responsible for past differences. Anthem stated that beginning on August 1, 2026, prescription costs will align with plan benefits. Members can review their benefit materials and log into their Anthem member portals for details on medication tiers and costs.
