What happened when I used medical bill negotiation after my C-section

A few weeks after my second daughter was born, the dreaded hospital bills starting trickling in. The final amount owed after insurance was $2,248.09. Worth the wait

My daughter was born in early January, and I just received my final statement from the hospital with a zero balance. So this took a while – mostly because the hospital billing department was playing hard to get, ignoring phone calls, faxes and emails. But it was well worth the wait!

When I finally paid my reduced bill through the billing department at the hospital, the rep on the phone told me he had never heard of a bill negotiation service.
