Take Command Health closes $1.5 million bridge round

DALLAS—Take Command Health, a market leader in qualified small employer HRAs (QSEHRA) administration and an advocate for tax-friendly benefits solutions, just completed a successful bridge round, reaching their $1.5 million goal. This well-timed milestone helps Take Command Health pave the way for two new HRA options coming in January 2020—the Individual Coverage HRAand the Excepted Benefit HRA.

Both the result of impending healthcare policy shifts aimed at bringing accessibility and flexibility to the HRA market, these tools will change the game when it comes to group benefits—and Take Command Health is poised to lead the charge.

“With another successful fundraising round behind us, we are excited to use this new momentum to prepare for an entirely new way of thinking about group benefits,” shares Take Command Health CEO, Jack Hooper.

“We are incredibly grateful for a dedicated group of partners that share their resources, insights, and enthusiasm.”

In addition to a proven model with QSEHRA administration, the Take Command Health team has excelled in executing nimble, technology-backed solutions to address the constantly evolving healthcare market and the policies that frame it, offering thought leadership for rethinking the small business health insurance market, and connecting with like-minded companies that share their values of advocacy and transparency.

While the details of these two new HRAs have yet to be announced, the Take Command Health team is focusing their efforts on updating their user-friendly platform, creating tools to streamline education and administration, and onboarding critical team members to prepare for the unprecedented surge in HRA usage coming in a few months.

“The quick close of this fundraising round has allowed us to shift our focus to hiring new employees to support marketing, client success, sales, and development ahead of these anticipated policy changes,” adds Hooper. “When the final rulings hit, we’ll be ready.”

To accommodate their growing team, Take Command Health has moved its headquarters from Health Wildcatters, a health startup incubator, to Insurance Lane off of Knox Henderson.
